Warner Music NZ Signs Local Producer Kings

Warner Music New Zealand has just signed local artist KINGS to its roster.

“KINGS innovative style of urban music is a breath of fresh air to a genre that can sometimes be bogged down with a formula of repetitiveness,” says General Manager Phil Howling. “The future looks very bright for this talented young artist and we are proud at Warner Music New Zealand to be taking the journey with him.”

KINGS has been producing music for the past six years and has collaborated with a number of other producers including; BulletProof, Dan Aux, General Lee, Jolyon Petch (Club Luxury), eSquire Uk, Crazi Biza and Dick Johnson.

He first hit the New Zealand music scene in 2013 with ‘Promise To You’, a collaboration with General Lee which was chosen to be on the Ministry of Sound SESSIONZ compilation that year.

In 2015 he received NZ ON AIR funding for his single ‘Jump’ and also released a collaboration project with DJ and producer Dan Aux, A^K. Their single ‘Sippin Yak’ became a huge viral hit. KINGS next collaboration with General Lee, ‘Everything’s Going To Be Alright’ led to him performing at Bluesky Mana Island and Rhythm and Vines.

Using nothing but his iPhone, KINGS shot an impromptu music video to accompany his latest single release ‘Don’t Worry Bout It’.
