Mermaidens to release new album 'Perfect Boy'

Mermaidens are set to release their new record Perfect Body on Friday 4th August via Flying Nun Records. 

The band will also have a new video out very soon.

Since the release of their 2014 EP O the Wellington trio have been come renowned for their intricate and unique songwriting that is brought to life by a hypnotic live synergy.

Perfect Body features many of the familiar characteristics of the Mermaidens’ sound, with twinkly, reverb laden guitar lines, rich vocal harmonies and vibrant drums. They bring in even more dynamic elements, building richer melodic layers and a wider range of guitar textures, as they explore different levels of dissonance. Each song bursts with energy and variety, with contrasting light and dark, and they’ve left space for mellow and brooding instrumentals underpinning a powerful vocal melody.

The vinyl comes in a beautiful satsuma orange colour.
