‘Stay Woke’ is the first single from Meek Mill since he was released from prison in April.

On ‘Stay Woke’, the Philly rapper deals with his recent incarceration which sparked nationwide protests, and encourages his fans to question the cycle of mass incarceration.

Meek raps: “It’s amazin’, this environment we was raised in/On them papers, one mistake and I’m gettin’ caged in/You gotta feel me, feel like the system tryna kill me/Got arrested and the charges F1 for popping wheelies, stay woke.”

Californian singer Miguel provides the backing vocals on the track and joined Meek on stage when they debuted the song to mass acclaim at the BET Awards in Los Angeles.
